I created a self-initiated project inspired by Beyonce’s collaboration with Levi’s Jeans, where I could explore using lyrics to capture the essence of how great their jeans are. The lyrics “giving you blues…” is from her song “Levii’s Jeans” ft. Post Malone. The song expresses her gratitude for them as they were one of few high fashion brands that wanted to work with her when starting her career in the group Destiny’s Child. I used a BOLD typeface to ensure that when looking at this ad it will grab your attention. The color blue used on the word “BLUES” is intended to stand out, highlighting that these are true blue jeans. This project allowed me to merge fashion, my love for her music, and cultural influence, to reflect my skill in graphic design.
